Can I do GIS in the library?

Answer

UVic students, faculty and staff may use the GIS workstation near the Map office on the main floor, which has ArcGIS 10 and Google Earth (satellite imagery and map mashups). Ask for help and manuals at the Maps office and see the Map Library's GIS page for more information. Also, Room 130 on the main floor has ArcGIS installed on those computers and you can use them when there is no scheduled class.


Google Earth and image editing software are also available on the multimedia workstations in Music & Media.
