How do visitors to campus get access to wifi?

Answer

  • Use Eduroam: If you are visiting from other educational institutions that participate in Eduroam, then you can use the Eduroam network and login with your home institution credentials. There's lots more information on the UVic Systems page 
  • Use Guest Netlink ID and password in the library: If you are unable to use eduroam, you can use one of the library guest logins for free. Ask at the Loan Desk (make sure to have valid photo ID). Guest accounts can log into the public wifi.
  • Visitors elsewhere on campus: For computer use elsewhere on campus you will have to pay a fee. For more information, contact the UVic Systems help desk to see if wireless access is supported.
