How do I request material from interlibrary loan?

Answer

  • Check UVic's catalogue to be sure we don't have what you need
  • If you cannot find what you need, fill out the online interlibrary loan request form
  • Select request a journal article or request a book
  • Provide as much detail as possible, including a need-by date
  • After you submit your request we will send you a confirmation email with your request number

Alternatively, click on the where can I get this? button embedded in many research databases

  • An automatic search is done for the item
  • If the item is not found in UVic libraries catalogues (online or in print), click more options
    and select request from another library
