Can I take my articles from the library databases and archive them in UVicSpace?
You may do so only if the publisher policy says you can archive the "publisher version"—the one with all of their formatting, logos, page numbers, etc. If you're allowed to use the publisher version, you can take the PDFs of your articles directly from the library databases or other sources. Check publisher polices with the SHERPA RoMEO site.
If you are prohibited from using the publisher version, you will need to archive a version from your personal files (either a pre-print or post-print, depending on the publisher policy). Save those pre-prints and post-prints!
