Answer

Google Scholar is a free web service that finds peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from broad areas of research. Google Scholar searches a variety of undisclosed academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web.  Some of the content is available in full-text, while others have links to pay for documents.

A link to Google Scholar is provided on UVic Libraries' web page, on the Search & Find - Databases page.

Use Google's Library Links. Go to Google scholar and set your 'Scholar Preferences' to show you what's available at UVic Libraries (or any three libraries you choose). When you're browsing a results list, you will see what we have in our collection (with netlink sign-in).
