Are there any restrictions to the type of materials distance education students can ask for?

Answer

Video or DVD materials cannot be loaned.  Contact your local public library to see if they have it, or if they can borrow it for you through their public library lending network. 

As an alternative, UVic Libraries has several streaming video collections.  To search for streaming videos, search the libraries catalogue (under Books & media tab). Type in your search terms and then limit you search by selecting “Streaming videos" in the dropdown menu.
