Reserve is a section of the library where specific books and articles are placed for specific courses to use.  As these are high demand items, the loan period is usually 2 hours, and steep fines will apply if you return something late.

When you search the Course Reserves Catalogue (Course Reserve Tab on the homepage of the Libraries Website), you will see the following codes:

XPR: a photocopied article
PRI: a private copy of a book, loaned to us for the duration of the course

If there is no code in evidence, the book was borrowed from the Main Library collection and placed on reserve for the semester.

Electronic Reserves are also possible - you will see a URL, linking to a specific article or book chapter online.

The Reserve Collection is located on the Main Floor, to the left of the Loan Desk.
