What electronic formats can I use for my ETD?

Answer

While any word processing software may be used to write the thesis, the final version must be converted to PDF before submission. While the main text of your ETD must be a PDF, other formats for additional files/appendices are permitted, for example, Microsoft Excel (.xls) for data related to your thesis or .mov or .mp4 for digital movie formats.  UVicSpace can accomodate most formats for audio files, video files, and spreadsheets.  Only a single PDF file is permitted for submission, so if you have multiple files in any format, please read the related FAQ on creating an E-portfolio PDF.
