What is LaTeX?

Answer

LaTeX is a typesetting system for formatting complex text, such as formulae with unconventional characters, tables and figures, and other nontraditional text. It is most typically used for science, engineering and mathematics documents. Although we offer a LaTeX template (created by a UVic grad student), UVicSpace staff are unable to provide support with LaTeX at this time.

Comprehensive info and download packages are available from the TeX Catalogue. The Topical index of the catalogue may be most helpful.
