Yes, you can.

Exporting from Refworks into Endnote with a Windows based computer:

In Refworks:

  • Choose Export from References menu
  • Select the folder from which to export OR select All References
  • Choose Bibliographic Software (e.g. Endnote)
  • Click Export to Text File
  • In the new window, choose Save as...from the File menu
  • Enter a filename. Select Text as the Save as type and click Save

In Endnote:

  • Select Import from the File menu
  • Browse to find the saved Refworks file
  • Choose Reference Manager (RIS) under Import Options
  • Click Import

Exporting from Refworks into Endnote with a Mac computer:

In RefWorks

  • Choose Export from the References menu
  • Select the folder from which to export OR select All References
  • Choose RefWorks Tagged Format
  • Click Export to Text File
  • In the new window choose Save As... from the File menu
  • Enter a filename. Select Text as the Save as type and click Save.

In EndNote

  • Select Import from the File menu
  • Browse to find the saved RefWorks file
  • Choose RefWorks under Import Option
  • Click Import.
