How and where do I find dictionaries?
Answer
Use an online dictionary. Some of our favourites are:
- Oxford English Dictionary
- Subject specific dictionaries are found in Oxford Reference Online
- Grand Robert Online (French)
- Other Non-English dictionaries are found in Oxford Language Dictionaries Online
Search the libraries catalogue (Books & media tab above the search bar) and add the word 'dictionaries' to your keyword search.
Some of the print dictionaries are in the Reference collection, behind the Research help desk while some will be found in the main stacks and can be checked out.
