How do I find theses and dissertations?

To find UVic theses:
- Search the libraries catalogue, and add the word 'thesis' to your keyword search.
- Recent UVic theses can be found online in UVicSpace
- Look in Dissertations and theses, a database published by Proquest. Authorized UVic users are able to download the full text of UVic theses published after 1996.
To find non-UVic theses (which you may have to request through interlibrary loan) search:
- Theses Canada portal (Canadian)
- Proquest's Dissertations and theses database (Canada and United States)
- Index to theses (Great Britain and Ireland)
- Foreign doctoral dissertations from the Centre for Research Libraries
