Why is a "need-by date" required on an interlibrary loan request?

A need-by date is required to complete your request online.


Keep in mind:

  • The need-by date indicates when the item is no longer useful to you -- it is not the date you would like the request to arrive
  • Our interlibrary loan system cannot send an interlibrary loan request if the need-by date has expired
  • Please provide as long a need-by date as possible because setting too short a date will result in your request being cancelled
