Q. Why can't I connect to UVicSpace?

Answer

If you get an “Access denied” error, you may have a firewall installed on your home computer or laptop that cannot see the UVicSpace website when you try to connect to it. Check your firewall settings to allow access to port 8443.  If you can’t allow access to port 8443, try the url with 8443.

Example:

https://dspace.library.uvic.ca:8443/handle/1828/4753

would become:

https://dspace.library.uvic.ca/handle/1828/4753
