UVicSpace is the only place to view the university's scholarly output in its entirety, even though individual departments and researchers may have websites to promote their own scholarly and research publications.

The institutional repository allows users—current faculty and students, prospective faculty and students, academics at other institutions, potential research funders, and the general public—to see the breadth and depth of UVic research, including otherwise obscured material, like the Lansdowne lectures and ETDs (electronic theses and dissertations).
