Use an online biography database such as:
- For Canadian people: Dictionary of Canadian Biography
- For Americans: American National Biography Online
- For British people: Oxford Dictionary of National Biography
- Find more biography databases in Databases by subject (biography)
Or, you can search the libraries catalogue (Books & media tab), on the libraries' homepage, to locate biographies. Do a keyword search with the name of the person and the word 'biography'.
