Q. How do I convert my thesis to a PDF file?

You have several options. If you use Microsoft Word 2007 or later or Open Office Writer, you can save your file as a PDF. If you have Adobe Acrobat Pro (the full package, not just Acrobat Reader), you can convert to PDF from earlier versions of Word or other word processing software.

Microsoft Word and Open Office Writer are available on the McPherson Library Learning Commons computers.   In the Library, ask for help at the UVic Computer Help Desk, or in the computing labs on campus (see locations and contact info). You can also search for and download free PDF converter software to your personal computer.

For more information on PDFs, please see Adobe Acrobat website
