What is EZProxy?

Answer

EZProxy is a computer program that is specially designed to authenticate users. It differs from more conventional web proxies in that you do not need to configure your browser to use it. The EZProxy system detects that you are off-campus when you first attempt to access a licensed resource. It will prompt you for your NetLink ID and password before allowing you to proceed. Its function is to ensure that only members of the University of Victoria community have access to licensed library resources when connecting to the Library from home or via an off-campus commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP).
